One of the highlights of the TV calendar returns tonight with series 12 of The Great British Bake Off.

Beloved for its low-key competition, lack of drama, and of course delicious-looking creations, the launch of a new series of Bake Off always sets the scene for cosy autumn nights.

This year's cast includes a vegan baker, with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith judging, and Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas back as the double-act hosts.

Greg Davies is the host this time and the reboot team captains are old cast member Noel Fielding, and new recruit Daisy May Cooper.

Who will commit this week? (Channel 4)

The drama has been ramping up in the hit reality show and somehow we've already arrived at the final commitment ceremony - but at only two thirds of the way through the series, that suggests we'll be getting plenty of updates on which couples have stayed together.

Monday's dinner party was particularly explosive with rows breaking out between Morag and Josh, Amy, Adam and Tayah, and Franky and Marilyse, so there's sure to be plenty to rake through tonight.

He's been one of the UK's favourite comedians for many years, but Bill Bailey recently bagged himself a load of new fans after his Strictly 2020 win.

This is a chance to see Bailey doing what he's known best for with an hour-long show adapted from an eight-date residency at the Royal Opera House, which he was the first stand-up to book.

See some of Bailey's hilarious musical delights in action for a glimpse at what his potential Eurovision entry could be like.

Silent Witness star Emilia Fox turns real-life detective in this unsolved crimes documentary series, where she teams up with criminologist Professor David Wilson to look at some high-profile mysteries.

This week, they're looking at the 1996 Boxing Day disappearance of David Spencer, 13, and Patrick Warren, 11, who were never found and no one was ever convicted despite them featuring on milk cartons in a search for answers. However, Fox and Wilson now think they've found a suspect.

Later episodes look at Suzy Lamplugh and Rita Ellis - if you love podcasts like Serial, you won't want to miss this show.
