The Cebu Sherilin Trading-Bears mauled the Chameleons, 111-85, to remain within striking distance of the league leaders in the Elite Basketball Cebu Season 18 last Sunday at the Casals Gym.
The outcome was rarely in doubt as the Bears’ firepower proved too much for the Chameleons to overcome. Daryle Tan led the winning side with 31 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
Enrico Llanto added 22 points, nine boards, four assists, and two blocks, while Ralph Belarmino also had 22 markers and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Prime Movers Logistics-Eagles stayed on top of the standings with a dominant 116-89 win over the Bulldogs. Crafty guard John Abad led the way for the Eagles with 21 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, and three steals.
Randy dela Pisa also showed he has plenty left in the tank as he tallied 19 points and seven boards. RJ Dinolan and Joshua dela Cerna each had double-doubles, with the former producing 18 points and 13 rebounds, and the latter piling up 14 points and 14 boards.
The Gothong Shipping Lines-Rhinos demolished the Raptors by 42 points, 113-71. Shane “The Game” Menina was unstoppable as he sank 10 triples en route to a near-triple-double performance of 40 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. As a team, the Rhinos scorched from behind the arc, making an astounding 23 three-pointers.
Three other Rhinos players flirted with triple-doubles as Ryan Llanos had 24 points, nine boards, and nine assists, while Ervin Lopena chipped in 13 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
Versatile big man Mark Abadia also tallied nine points, 18 boards, and eight assists.
And finally, the Aneda Builders-Falcons also kept their winning streak going with a 113-103 victory over the Wolves. Veteran guard Barok Ceniza compiled 31 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to help the Falcons get their sixth win in a row.
