57th L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy

Since 1954, the L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy has been held each year in London, making it the longest-running hairdressing competition in the UK and the world's most prestigious. Over the years, the L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy has evolved from a single award competition to include the Regional Finals, the Men's Image Award, the Young Colourist Award, and even the Mizani Afro Catwalk Award. This year's event will open with a show by hairdresser Peter Gray, who has worked on advertsing campigns for the likes of Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy.

Beautyworld Middle East

International Beauty Show

June 9-11

Some of the industry's hottest brands including Stila Cosmetics, Minx Nails, OPI, and Brazilian Blowout will exhibit at the pro-only event at the Las Vegas Convention Center that also hosts more than 150 workshops for beauty professionals on subjects ranging from hair and nail techniques to makeup application. Guests at the 2011 edition included Lady Gaga's nail technician, Naja Green, who offered celebrity nail secrets and camera-ready techniques.

2nd Makeup Show Chicago

June 17-18

Since its debut in 2005, the Makeup Show New York has expanded across America and Europe and June 17 will see the start of the second Chicago edition. The fair attracts brands including Temptu, Inglot, L'Oréal, MAC Cosmetics, Stila and Smashbox, bringing together speakers from all areas of make-up artistry. Special guests this year include beauty guru AJ Crimson, whose celebrity clients include Fergie, Hilary Duff and Missy Elliot.
