FORMER ALA boy Mark Beltran once again sees action in the US as he takes on veteran Hector Suarez on March 27, 2020 (PH time), at the Media Pro Studios in Medley, Florida.
Beltran tipped the scales at 130.8 pounds, while Suarez was heavier at 133 pounds for the eight-round contest.
This is Beltran’s sixth fight in the US since he started training in Miami, Florida under the tutelage of Cuban trainer Osmiri “Moro” Fernandez.
The 26-year-old Beltran is 3-2 in American soil, wherein two losses are against Andy Vences and world-rated Albert Bell.
Beltran, a native of Butuan City, is coming off a win over Julian Aristule, who he stopped in three rounds on Oct. 17, 2020.
Suarez should be a good activity fighter for Beltran. The 25-year-old Mexican has fought the likes of former world champion Denis Shafikov, Jayson Velez, Hector Tanajara, Adam Lopez and Antonio Lozada Torres.
Suarez lost eight of his nine contests. His last win was back in 2017, when he beat Sebastan Maldonado by unanimous decision.
Beltran is 21-4 with 15 knockouts, while Suarez is 12-12-2 with six knockouts. (EKA)
