MARK Bernaldez springs back into action on June 11 against former regional champion Oscar Duarte in Los Angeles, California.

Bernaldez is looking to bounce back after losing his last fight in the United States. Bernaldez was stopped by Andres Cortes in the third round of their scheduled eight-rounder last Nov. 5 in Las Vegas. He was riding a three-bout winning streak before that loss.

The 28-year-old Bernaldez, a former ALA Boy, started his campaign in the US in 2019. He’s 5-3 on American soil.

Meanwhile, Duarte is on a hot streak of seven straight wins. His only defeat was in 2019 after dropping a split decision to Adrian Estrella in Indio, California.

The 26-year-old Duarte owns a win over current World Boxing Association (WBA) super featherweight champion Roger Gutierrez.

Bernaldez is 23-5 with 17 knockouts, while Duarte is 22-1-1 with 17 knockouts.
