Best of BB Creams

Hailed as the answer to all your skincare woes in a single tube, BB creams have been a hit in Asia for years.

2012 seems to be the year when Europe and the US will get to trial these multifunctional creams, too. While in Asia the product's most important task is to lighten skin, for the European market the focus is to shorten the consumer’s beauty routine with a product that can do the job of several.

Scandinavian magazine Daisy Beauty asked a group of seasoned beauty bloggers with an archival knowledge of thousands of products to try the eleven BB Creams available on the European market (more will be launched this fall). Here are their top picks.

Estée Lauder Daywear BB Anti-Oxidant Beauty Benefit Creme

Evens out skintone and moisturises very well. Keeps an oily T-Zone matte and adds radiance to skin. Stays on all day with SPF 35.

Clinique Age Defense BB Cream

Gives medium coverage and a silky matte luminosity to skin. More of a foundation than a tinted moisturiser, but still very light on the skin. Works well on combination skin and also on a more mature teint. SPF 30.

Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm Multi-Benefit Skin Care Makeup

Covers blemishes well even though the cream only gives moderate coverage. Oil-free but moisturises well. Skin looks radiant but not shimmery. Works well on both combination and dry skin.
