Bill to create children's hospital in Liloan awaits president's approval

THE proposed bill to construct a children's hospital in the northern Cebu town of Liloan is now awaiting approval from the President after getting the nod of Congress and the Senate.

The proposed House Bill No. 8274 was endorsed by its author, Cebu 5th district Representative Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco, on December 16, 2020, and was passed by the House Committee on Health through Substitute Bill HB 10254.

The bill was signed by Congress on its third reading on September 27, 2021 and was seconded by the Senate without getting revised.

Frasco said they are now preparing to endorse the documents to the office of President Rodrigo Duterte for the final approval.

Frasco said the bill aims to improve the delivery of public health services to the constituents in his district.

“The Liloan Children’s Hospital is seen to further improve public health services for the people of Liloan and the 5th District of Cebu,” Frasco said. (ANV, TPT)
