Binibining Cebu 2017: How contestants carried off the Philippine terno

Classy elegance was on show last Saturday (September 23) when 54 Cebuana beauties glided down the runway for the Philippine terno competition, the first of four pre-pageant events for Binibining Cebu 2017.

Contestants wore local designers’ interpretations of the Philippine national dress with grace and style at the Cabecera de Argao in Argao, a municipality in southeast Cebu.

The Best Terno award was given to Edward James Castro for the designs he created for Maria Gigante of Bantayan and Samantha Ashley Lo of Asturias.

Before the main event, contestants Nica Zosa Nabua of Medellin and Apriel Smith of Badian tied for the Best in Runway award for the Hablon de Argao fashion show featuring the designs of Dexter Alazas.

The next pre-pageant event will be the swimsuit competition on Friday, September 29, 8pm, at the Grand Convention Center in Cebu. Catch the live stream here on Yahoo Philippines.
