BJMP relieves 40 personnel of Manila City Jail in Bicutan extension

Forty personnel of the Manila City Jail Extension facility at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig were relieved from their posts after a spot inspection revealed that several detainees were enjoying special privileges.

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, acting on orders of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo, dismissed its personnel during the inspection.

The en masse dismissal stemmed from an exclusive report of GMA News’ “Imbestigador." Joseph Morong tackled alleged anomalies at the jail facility in a report on “24 Oras" Wednesday.
