Black Friday protests held around metro

Several activists held a “Black Friday Protest” against the pork barrel scam on Friday afternoon.

Michael Beltran, one of the organizers of the Black Friday Protest, told Manila Bulletin Online that they intended to schedule the protest in time with the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Beltran said among the protesters are Kabataan Partylist, Karatula, Anakbayan and League of Filipino Students.

The groups denounced the recent revelation that has put many lawmakers and public officials under fire “yet administration allies and Noynoy Aquino himself continue to protect themselves from scrutiny.”

The groups said they would also stage noise barrage around the city.

Beltran said their protest actions are in Manila, Morayta corner Espana Boulevard, Stop and Shop, Sta. Mesa, Vito Cruz and Taft Avenue.
