THE Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Cebu has surpassed its collection target in June this year.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the BOC-Port of Cebu said as of June 30, 2020, it had collected a total of P2,543,440,439.
This is 21.83 percent higher, or P455,700,439 more, than its target revenue for June.
The BOC-Port of Cebu said as early as June 23, it had already surpassed its collection target of P2,087,740,000 for the month.
Meanwhile, it also expects to generate additional revenue for the government as it is scheduled to auction off 110 containers of various items worth P14,533,242 on Monday, July 6.
It said it further intensified its collection efforts to raise more revenue to support the country amid the Covid-19 crisis. (WBS)
