Boomerang: 2020 Vision

Karl Aries Emerson F. Cabilao

IT IS almost customary for many people to think of resolutions for the new year in the hopes of injecting something new into their lives. Well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with crafting them to usher in the new year as long as there is a committed effort to attain these within the 360-day span. With new opportunities that will surely come along, we always hope that these will result into something positive in ourselves and for our families. Today, readers share how they envision themselves in 2020.

I look forward to a year that would serve as game-changer filled with challenges. I see myself working as an architect, accumulating professional experiences and contributing something for a sustainable community. —Ernest John Chin, 29, architect/marketing supervisor (Forest Lighting Philippines)

I will try to continue to be happy with my creative endeavors, especially in my academics, despite all the hectic schedules and deadlines that I will meet next year. —Sarah Mae Giron, 19, landscape architecture student (USC)

I see myself spreading kindness to more people around me by participating in outreach programs, medical missions and other activities that will benefit the less fortunate. —Joshua Uy, 26, business development officer (Davies Paints)

I can see myself more confident and proud of everything that I love doing, especially in honing my design skills and creating art. I hope that 2020 will give me a lot of life-changing experiences and opportunities. —Jan Peolo Gargaran, 19, architecture student (CIT-U)
