UNDEFEATED Jade Bornea will take his time, put on enough pressure and wear down Ernesto Delgadillo before going for the kill.
“Jade is a slow starter, so that’s why we’ll be cautious in the early rounds,” Bornea’s coach Rodel Mayol told SunStar Cebu. “We’re going to be looking for a late knockout.” The 24-year-old Bornea is fighting Delgadillo for the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight belt on Jan. 31, 2020 (PHL time) in Toppenish, California.
Bornea tipped in the scales at exactly 115 pounds, while Delgadillo was a bit lighter at 114.4 pounds.
Mayol, a former world champion, believes that Delgadillo doesn’t have enough power to knock out Bornea.
That’s why they’ll come inside and pressure him until he breaks. (EKA)
