‘Brigada eskwela’

KORONADAL CITY (PIA) - The office of the Department of Education (DepEd) in North Cotabato encourages everyone, especially the students, parents, and DepEd employees to participate in this year's "Brigada Eskwela."

This program aims to provide clean and orderly classrooms for the school opening on June.
The week-long activity has been scheduled from May 20 to 25.

DepEd officer-in-charge (OIC) Regional Director and OIC Schools Division Superintendent Maria Rosa Gutierrez noted that DepEd main office in Manila will spearhead the opening of the "Brigada Eskwela" through a caravan, which will also be conducted in the 17 regional offices in the country.

According to the official, this activity not only focuses on preparing classrooms but also on strengthening ties among the students, parents, school employees, as well as partners from the private sector.

Gutierrez emphasized that this is also their office's way of showing unity in a quest to promote quality education not only through financial aspect but more particularly through the Filipino culture of helping one another.
