After rendezvous with a lovely lady from the movie industry, Chandler Parsons of the Houston Rockets seems to be feeling right at home in Manila.

The good-looking Parson had a dinner date with KC Concepcion, daughter of multi-awarded actress Sharon Cuneta.

Has he been smitten by the beauty of Concepcion? The actress reportedly is still loveless after a very public breakup with boyfriend Piolo Pascual two years ago.

He did not say anything about being smitten, but he confirmed to a horde of reporters yesterday that they had dinner.

Their dinner date came months after they had a conversation through the social media site Twitter.

“We had dinner (Tuesday night),” Parsons said during the media availability at the Mall of Asia Arena. “We have mutual friends and she’s a great girl and I had a good time with her.”

Aside from meeting Concepcion, Parsons has been overwhelmed with the warm reception of the Filipino fans who are anxious to see the Rockets take on the Indiana Pacers tonight at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Everybody here has been so nice, so sweet and so generous,” he said. “The hospitality and the people waiting in our hotel are unbelievable so it’s a real experience and I’m enjoying my time here.”

“This is my first time here,” said Parsons. “The people here are so passionate about the sport.”

Bongbong Marcos makes the ludicrous claim that if his father Ferdinand hadn’t been deposed in 1986, we would now be another Singapore, prosperous and orderly. There was no way that turning the Philippines into another Singapore would be possible today, or in the 1980s. The world’s eyes are all on Singapore these days after the passing last week of that city-state’s founding prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew. As Singapore mourns Lee’s death, the world toasts him as a visionary who practically …
