Caacom launches ‘mercy cards’ to help fund ongoing construction of Divine Mercy Shrine in Consolacion

THE Cebu Archdiocesan Apostolic Congress on Mercy (Caacom) has launched Divine Mercy cards to obtain more funds for the ongoing construction of the Divine Mercy Shrine in Barangay Garing in the northern Cebu town of Consolacion.

During a press conference on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, Malou Guanzon-Apalisok, media liaison of the Caacom executive committee, said they recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Creative Technology Service Operative to process the mercy cards.

The cards were officially launched during the Jubilee 2022 Congress last Sept. 17 and 18.

Apalisok said the card comes with a quick response code, which will help them establish baseline data for the shrine’s visitors.

Apalisok said the card will also serve as a pre-registration tool for cardholders who wish to attend future events at the shrine.

Liza Rago, focal person for the Divine Mercy cards registration, said registration can be done online through the Caacom’s website or by contacting the group.

She said the cost is P100 for the card plus a minimum donation of P100 for the shrine, or a total of P200.

Apalisok said the cards are part of their continuous efforts to generate funds for the ongoing building of the Divine Mercy Shrine.
