Three Cabinet members of the Ferdinand Marcos Jr. administration have either resigned or were no longer part of the Cabinet.
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, whose rumors about resignation have been going on for a few days now, has resigned due to a “certain medical condition,” Deputy Executive Secretary Hubert Guevarra said.
“I resigned this morning effective end of business hours today. It was a pleasure working with you,” Angeles reportedly said.
Regarding her medical condition, Angeles said that it was nothing serious. “Can’t say yet … Nothing serious, but it needs to be addressed.”
Bersamin said that President Marcos had accepted Calida’s resignation. Just recently, Calida was bypassed by the Commission on Appointments (CA).
Meanwhile, former ES Vic Rodriguez, whose appointment as Chief of Staff was seen as redundant and unnecessary, is no longer a member of the Cabinet, Bersamin also confirmed.
