Carampatana Food Corp.-2012 edges Casa Mira-2012 in SHAABAA

The Carampatana Food Corp.-2012 slipped past the Casa Mira-2021 in overtime, 93-89, in Division C of the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) basketball tournament last Sunday at the Magis Eagles Arena inside the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

Casa Mira actually led by as much as 18, 64-46, in the third canto before a 25-12 outburst by Carampatana Food tied the game at 81-all and send the match to the extra session where the latter eventually pulled through with the win.

Adven Jess Diputado scored a whopping 46 points, nine rebounds, and five steals. Mavii Suarez added 15 markers for Batch 2012.

Josiah Villamayor had 34 points and 10 rebounds for 2021.

In other Division C matches, the Asian Orthopedics-2014 clobbered the MDP Customs Brokerage-2013, 71-50. Cebu Chooks mainstay Zachary Huang had a double-double of 16 points and 13 rebounds as Asian Orthopedics showed their might in the second half to author the win.

Storage Town-2015 also emerged victorious over Batch 2019 with a convincing 95-71 win. Niño Araw-Araw gave 2015 a huge spark with his 19 points, nine assists, five rebounds, and five steals.

In Division B, the Dynacast-2001 crushed Batch 2002, 100-51. Jason Arquisola showed off his versatile skills and tallied all-around numbers of 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and four steals in 2001’s impressive show of force.

The 2006-Prince Warehouse Inc, Laptap Enterprises, MYMC Group also got past the 2008-Marjaztin Glass Trading & Construction, 73-69. Frank Dinsay led the way for 2006 with 15 points while Anthony Ong added 11.

And finally, the 2011-SUPREA Ready Mixed Concrete thumped the 2005-Bizol Castcrete Builders, 79-65. Bradley Bacaltos powered his way to 26 points and 13 rebounds, while Bernard Chioson compiled 17 points and 20 boards for 2011.
