'Casper' actor Devon Sawa arrives in the Philippines

DEVON Sawa, who made our teenage hearts swoon in the 90s, is in the Philippines.

The Canadian actor, who famously played the human form of Casper in the 1995 film, tweeted on Thursday, December 19, 2019 that he traveled from Los Angeles en route to Cebu.

Los Angeles —> Cebu, Philippines.

On Friday, December 20, Sawa retweeted from a fan to confirm that he had arrived in the country.

He also seems to have a fondness for Filipino fast food restaurant Jollibee after tweeting this on the same day:

Earlier, Sawa tweeted on December 17 that he was coming to the country with his wife and their two kids.

Sawa was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His first breakout role was in the 1995 film Casper. Later on, he went to star in films such as Now and Then, Wild America and Final Destination.

He also played the title character in Eminem’s music video for “Stan,” which was released in 2000. He also voiced Flash Thompson in the 2003 television series Spider-Man: The New Animated Series.

Recently, Sawa starred alongside John Travolta in the 2019 American psychological thriller film The Fanatic, which was directed and co-written by Fred Durst. (EZN)
