The National Hurricane Center warned of “catastrophic and life-threatening flooding” as Hurricane Sally battered Alabama and Florida on September 16.
This footage, shared by Florida-based “Disaster Response & Community Service” nonprofit Marco Patriots, shows crew members making their way through floodwater and cutting downed trees en route to Foley, Alabama.
Local reports said the hurricane was the first to hit Alabama since Hurricane Ivan in 2004.
