Catherine Zeta-Jones not a fan of 80s fashion

Catherine Zeta-Jones thinks 80s fashion "stank".

The Welsh actress stars in musical movie Rock of Ages alongside Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough. The film is set in the 80s, and Catherine has revealed what she'd like to bring back from the era - and what should stay there.

"The music - but the fashion stank as far as I'm concerned! When I was trying on my costumes, and having costume fittings it was real 80s stuff, this wasn’t made for the movie, it was really vintage stuff, if you can call the 80s vintage. It was so bad that it was fabulous. Like, really? Those shoulder pads, really? If I leaned my head back I could rest it on my shoulders pads," she laughed in an interview with British magazine OK!

Tom stars as rock god Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages. Catherine understands the sex appeal of the musicians of the 80s.

"Of course, sweaty men with long hair, playing loud music with a big guitar. I get it, but it kind of passed me by. I was working in the 80s as a teenager and coming from Europe I was more into new romantic music like Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, the Brits," she said.
