A first look at the upcoming live-action Biff & Chip series from CBeebies has been unveiled.

The family comedy is based on the characters from the hugely popular Oxford Reading Tree Books and will follow the adventures of the titular twins and their family and friends.

Pictures show Tilly Kaye as Biff and George Robinson as Chip, joined by their younger brother Kipper (Freddie James), pals Wilf (Inathi Rozani) and Wilma Page (Dorothy Peters-Lowe), and their loyal dog Floppy.

Each episode will follow the youngsters' escapades and wild imaginations as they create new worlds to explore, with some storylines written exclusively for the show.

Parents Mr and Mrs Robinson are played by Jack Wilkinson and Kellie Shirley, while Des Yankson and Shauna Shim play their neighbours Mr and Mrs Page.

Gavin and Stacey's Melanie Walters also appears in the cast as fun-loving Gran.
