THE operation in Cebu City Hall has been suspended and work will resume on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, said Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella's chief of staff Mary Rose Lubino.

Lubino said the mayor's office has authorized immediate work suspension for employees in City Hall's executive and legislative building, including in the financial center.

However, offices rendering frontline services and those in satellite offices will continue their operations, she said.

"We did this since medyo tedious ang pag-sweep sa every office of every floor and we also noticed that the employees were already crowding outside," said Lubino.

Cebu City Hall employees were evacuated around 10:20 a.m. after the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) received a bomb threat from an anonymous number on Friday, August 27, at Cebu City Hall. (JJL)
