Cebu City launches house-to-house Covid-19 vaccination

THE Cebu City Vaccine Advisory Board has officially launched the house-to-house coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination dubbed as "Bakuna sa Inyong Tugkaran."

The Board launched the initiative on August 25, 2021.

The house-to-house Covid-19 vaccination aims to inoculate those individuals who are bed-ridden and those individuals who are not capable of traveling to the vaccination sites.

Cebu City Vice Mayor Michael Rama, convener of the City's vaccination program, said the Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (ERUF) led by Dr. Peter Mancao, a private sector volunteer and officer of the Cebu City Medical Society (CMS), will lead the initiative.

Mancao said that during the dry run conducted on August 6 and August 20, there have been 73 individuals who were inoculated.
