Cebu City OBO: Building permits can be issued in an hour

THE Office of the Building Official (OBO) in Cebu City guarantees a maximum of one hour of processing time for issuances of building permits in the city.

Building Official Architect Florante Catalan said Wednesday, August 3, 2022, that their office has developed a system that allows for simultaneous processing of all documents submitted for the application for a building permit.

"We are very proud and happy to announce that OBO Cebu City implements the issuance of building permit within an hour," said Catalan.

Catalan added that the short timeframe can be enjoyed by applicants as long as all documents and requirements are complete upon submission. (IRT)
