Cebu City police one-time big-time operation nets P3.4M shabu

A TOTAL of 532 grams, or P3.5 million worth of shabu, were seized during the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (Sacleo) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) on Saturday, September 24, 2021.

Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Josefino Ligan said Monday, September 27, that a total of 146 individuals were arrested during the one-time big-time operation conducted by the CCPO’s 11 stations.

Of the arrested individuals, 45 were nabbed for illegal drugs, 65 for illegal gambling, 11 for loose firearms, two were most wanted persons in city level, and 23 are also wanted persons.

Ligan said most of those nabbed for illegal drugs are drug pushers.

He said the Sacleo is done twice every month, stressing that all police stations contributed to the successful operations.

He said Police Station 10 or Punta Princesa had the highest number or arrested persons in terms of illegal drugs, adding it seized a total of 200 grams of shabu.

Ligan commended the CCPO personnel stressing for a “very good” accomplishment.

"Despite with this pandemic, atoang kapolisan wa gyud na magkulang og magbiya ning atoang anti-criminality operations. Inherent naman sa kapolisan [nga ang] trabaho, padayon ug panghingusdan pa kining kampanya," Ligan said. (MVE/LMY)
