Cebu City public transport to continue amid MECQ

THE operation of the public transportation vehicles will remain amid the two-week modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Cebu City.

Cebu City Councilor James Anthony Cuenco said the current capacity of the public transportation vehicles will stay, however, all the public transportation vehicles must keep its doors and windows open.

Cuenco said overloading, such as allowing passengers standing inside the public transportation vehicle, is considered a violation.

"The capacity will be the same as long as wala'y mutindog," said Cuenco.

Erring drivers will be given citation tickets, said Cuenco. JJL
