THE Cebu City Government has ramped up its anti-dengue campaign now that the Department of Education has eyed the full implementation of face-to-face classes in August 2022.

Councilor Joel Garganera, deputy chief implementer of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), said Wednesday, June 1, that 200 responders were trained to conduct information drive and search and destroy operations against possible mosquito breeding sites.

Garganera said most of those who died due to dengue were children below 10 years old.

The personnel will be deployed to the different schools in the city to check their infrastructure and eliminate areas where dengue-carrying mosquitos can live and breed. (IRT)
