Cebu City traffic enforcers to receive high visibility rain gear

THE chairman of the board of directors of the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) has donated 50 pairs of high visibility rain for its traffic enforcers.

According to Rico Rey “Koko” Holganza, the rain gear will protect traffic enforcers from the rain and it will make them easier to spot.

"Top #1 priority. Personnel safety and protection. Hoping to get more of these High Visibility rain gears for our hardworking CCTO field traffic managers. We will start with the first 50 pairs (jacket and pants) next week," Holganza posted on his Facebook account.

The former Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu district collector and former Cebu City councilor said traffic enforcers will no longer need to take shelter because the rain gear will prevent them from getting wet.

The rain gear will also make traffic enforcers hard to miss by motorists as it will be “illuminated by headlights of vehicles and mechanized equipment.”

The high visibility rain gear is similar to what traffic enforcers in the United States wear.

"Akong personal donation ang 50 pairs. Hoping makita ug magustuhan sa city officials unya mopalit sila sama niini. Dili man nako kaya hatagan tanan," he posted on Facebook.

(The 50 pairs are my personal donation. Hoping city officials will like it and buy more for all the traffic enforcers. I can’t afford to buy one for everyone.)
