THE first Cebu Food and Wine Festival, meant to highlight the culinary prowess of the produce, people and places of Cebu, will run from April 18 to May 2, 2021.
It will open with a Grand Reception Beach Dinner at Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan on April 18 that will feature food booths and live action stations alongside wines and cocktails.
The Grand Finale Dinner on May 2 will be hosted at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu and will put the spotlight on distinct flavors, as well as on food specialists.
Both the reception and finale dinners will close with a live auction.
Gastronomic activities will be spread across the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu. These include cooking classes, wine seminars and tastings, farm, highlands and boat tours and pop-up dinners.
A farmers’ market will run for two Saturdays where local farmers can sell their fresh produce directly to customers.
The Cebu Food and Wine Festival is made possible by the Ministry of Food and Wine, a non-profit organization that aims to assist in implementing a road to recovery project for local hotels, resorts and restaurants.
