CEBU Governor Gwendolyn Garcia stood firm on her stance that getting vaccinated is a choice of every individual.
In a press briefing on August 25, Garcia did not divulge the date of her inoculation and what vaccine brand she will be getting.
Garcia said she is still waiting for the brand that would best fit for her since she acquired many allergies.
She said the brand is recommended by Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, chief pathologist of the Department of Health-Central Visayas.
"Naghuwat ko sa, actually naay ipadala nako nga vaccine nga has the least allergic effects," Garcia said.
But Garcia said she will not force the public to get vaccinated since it remains a choice to everyone.
"Even vaccinated ko, give everyone a choice. It's a matter of choice," Garcia said.
Meanwhile, Garcia ordered Dr. Christina Giango, Provincial Health Office head, to get the numbers of individuals who were vaccinated yet still infected with coronavirus and those who were unvaccinated.
"Although karun di lang ta kaayo, we cannot have a control group because dyutay paman sad ang vaccinated," Garcia said. (MVE)
