Cebu travel show sees ‘revenge spending’ in travel

THE Cebu Travel Catalogue International (CTCI) kicked off on Friday, signaling the resurgence of the travel industry.

The three-day travel show comes as people are now more willing to spend for what industry calls “revenge travel.”

Angelita Dy, vice president of Cebu Tours and Travel Association (CTTA), the event organizer, said “this is an opportunity” for Cebuanos to rediscover the beautiful tourist spots in the province, as well as revisit their favorite destinations abroad.

Cebu Tours and Travel Association officers, exhibitors and special guests officially open the Cebu Travel Catalogue International 2022.

The travel show offers exceptional deals on airfare and tour packages from Cebu’s top travel agencies during the three-day sale at the Ayala Center Cebu.

CTTA has brought back the CTCI to take advantage of people’s renewed zeal for travel with the easing of pandemic restrictions here and abroad.

The three-day event serves as a one-stop shop for travel products and services, making it easy for Cebuanos and travelers in the region to book tour packages to local and international destinations. (CSL)
