Cebuano Studies Center’s Tugkad Journal goes live

THE University of San Carlos Cebuano Studies Center in cooperation with the Department of Communications, Linguistics and Literature went live with its second online volume of Tugkad: A Literary and Cultural Studies Journal on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Tugkad: A Literary and Cultural Studies Journal is a peer reviewed open access online international journal. This year’s issue features eleven scholarly articles and its creative arm, Lamdaman, will showcase creative works, interviews, and literary translations.

The public launch will also take place during the Center’s monthly Vicente Sotto Lecture Series on Saturday, July 30, 2022. The lecture on "Sex Lives of Ancient Visayans and Colonial Voyeurism, Conquest and Penetration" will be delivered by Mr. Joselito “Boboi” Costas.

The activity will be from 10:00-12:00 PM via Zoom. The event will be streamed live on Facebook.
