Celebrities, Family Visit Manny Pacquiao At Wild Card

MANILA, Philippines - Not only his family but even big celebrities have visited boxing champ Manny Pacquiao while he's on training at the Wild Card Gym in the US.

Blackeyed Peas' apl.de.ap lauded Manny for being a source of inspiration.

"When you're around Pacman you're just motivated to like do things like whatever you do in life. I'm inspired by him to be in shape so I wanna push myself to do it," he said on "TV Patrol," May 30 .

Pastor Rick Warren, who authored the "Purpose Driven Life," shared that "we got a bible study on James chapter one together and talk about five ways to get the word of God."

On "24 Oras" the same evening, apl stated that if there's "one thing you can't do when you fight, (it's) underestimate anybody."

Rick, in the GMA news report, called Manny a purpose driven boxer.

"He's clearly a man who's living a purpose driven life. He's trying to make a difference. He's using the platform that God gave him with boxing but he's not just doing that. He's helping people."

"Americal Idol" season 11 finalist Heejun Han who was eating at a restaurant near the Wild Card Gym was surprised when he saw his idol. After bantering with him, Manny, on the spot, gave Heejun four tickets to his fight with Timothy Bradley.

Manny's family---wife Jinkee and children Jimwell, Michael, Princess and Queenie---also came to support the champ.

Jinkee shared that it wasn't the first time her children went to watch Manny's training but it's their first time to watch him fight live.

"Sa Baguio nagpunta din sila pero dito sa States dati sumama din sila pero hindi lang sila nanood nang live dati. Pero ngayon manonood sila," she said.

Jinky noted that Manny has really changed for the better.

"Pareho lang naman dati 'yung ensayo, 'yung focus 'yung concentration and then 'yung spiritual lang is every night (nagba)-bible studies siya. Better na Team Pacquiao."

At one point during his training, Manny kissed her eldest daughter.

"Excited ako. Excited din sila. First time na manonood sila nang live. Ganado ako," he said.

Timothy Bradley, in the another report on "24 Oras," is confident he'll gonna win against Manny.

"Every single fight I always say 'When I win I'll win.' And what I do? This is the same situation. When I say I may win I may win the fight. You now, it's the same thing. I know what I'm capable of doing. I see Pacquiao mania. I've seen his tapes. I study fighter. I see what I can do. I'll pull myself on the ring with him then I'll take him out," Timothy said.

Many were surprised in seeing a poster of Manny and Timothy which bears November 10, 2012 fight.

But despite his confidence, Timothy is also ready for any damage he might sustain when he goes up against Manny.

"I just want to let the world know I'm proclaiming, you know, what's gonna happen on June 9...that I might not be victorious against Manny Pacquiao. You know, this is not a game. I'm a completely dab in. I'm a hundred and ten percent, you know...I'm ready to put it off on the line, you know, if I will die, if I will be knocked out...I want to put it on the line on June 9. Nothing else matter by June 9. Taking care of business and getting that win," Timothy said.

Manny, who has never been into trash talk, just shrugged off Timothy's media gimmick.

Apl was surprised at the media credential of Timothy Bradley.

"It's not gonna be walking apart but you know, it's gonna be tough. Manny just gonna out outscore him."
