Century City Mall in Makati opening in 4th quarter this year

Listed real estate firm Century Properties Group, Inc. announced that the construction of its first retail development, the Century City Mall in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati, is right on schedule for its opening in the fourth quarter of this year.

The mall will be the newest stand-alone retail center to open in Makati in six years. It is located within Century Properties' mixed-use vertical village called Century City.

With approximately 110 retail spaces totaling 17,000 square meters of net leasable space, the five-storey mall has a gross floor area of 49,143 square meters. Three basement floors have been allotted for visitors' parking.

Century Properties Co-Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director Marco R. Antonio said the sign up of retail spaces for Century City Mall has exceeded expectations.

"We are very excited to open Century City Mall because of its mix of brands, high-end cinemas, dining options, and concept stores. It will be open to the public, and will also serve as the neighborhood lifestyle and retail center for Century City residents, tenants and guests," Antonio said.

The Century City development comprises the luxury residential towers Gramercy Residences, Knightsbridge Residences, the Versace Home-interior designed Milano Residences, Trump Tower at Century City and the outpatient medical building called Centuria Medical Makati, designed in partnership with GE Healthcare. Completion of projects began in December, 2012 and is expected to run through 2016.

"We expect to generate high foot traffic at Century City Mall because of its exciting mix of retail tenants that will complement what is presently available in other malls within Makati. In the process, this world-class retail development will also contribute to the enhancement of northern Makati's landscape, realizing our vision for a truly Modern Makati," Antonio said.

Aside from Century City, Century Properties Group is also the developer behind the master-planned properties Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City, featuring the branded towers Acqua Livingstone interior design by MissoniHome and Acqua Iguazu yoo inspired by Starck, in collaboration with John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck; the Azure Urban Resort Residences in Paranaque City, with a Beach Club designed by international style icon Ms. Paris Hilton; and the Residences at Commonwealth by Century in Quezon City.

Century Properties said it is committed to deliver differentiated, quality real estate and has 27 years of experience in the business of real estate development, marketing and property management. The company is listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange under the ticker CPG.
