Cesafi MVP Rey Suerte named into UAAP's Mythical Five

TWO-TIME Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Most Valuable Player Rey Anthony Suerte bolstered his stock even more as he was named to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)'s Mythical Five team on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

The University of the Visayas (UV) product had himself a spectacular one and done season for the University of the East Red Warriors, putting up averages of 17.6 points, 6.8 boards, 3.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game in leading the squad to a 4-10 record.

The Monkayo, Compostela Valley native amassed 60.93 statistical points and was joined on the prestigious squad by Kobe Paras of the University of the Philippines, Jamie Malonzo and Justine Baltazar of La Salle and Soulemane Chabi Yo of the University of Santo Tomas.

Suerte is the second UV product to be given the distinction after former Baby Lancer Paul Desiderio earned a spot on the team in 2017.
