TWO out of the three Pinoy MMA warriors that saw action in UAE Warriors 33 had their hands raised last Sept. 17 at the Etihad Arena in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Arvin Chan and Coline Biron were victorious, while URCC welterweight champion John Adajar wasn’t as fortunate and lost his fight.

Chan stopped popular Norwegian fighter Abdi Farah in the 1:52 mark of the opening round with strikes.

After a 1-8 start to his MMA career, Chan is on a seven-fight winning streak. He improved to 8-8.

Farah dropped to 2-3.

Biron, on the other hand, submitted Turkish fighter Aysun Erge in the second round of a women’s strawweight fight.

Biron caught Erge with an armbar and forced her to tap in the 1:09 mark.

In the meantime, Adajar suffered a first round submission loss to Abdulla Al Bousheiri.

It was a very competitive contest until Al Bousheiri caught Adajar with an armbar and forced him to submit in the 3:47 mark.

Adajar, who previously competed in Road to UFC, lost his second straight bout and fell to 6-3. Al Bousheiri improved to 9-3 and bounced back from a no contest and improved to 9-3.

In the main event, Ali AlQaisi (13-6) dethroned UAE Warriors featherweight champion Jesse Arnett (20-9) via a third round guillotine choke in their rematch.

UAE Warriors welterweight champion Josh Togo (12-4) successfully defended his belt with a unanimous decision over Tahir Abdullaev (13-2) in the co-main feature.
