Charlie Sheen to quit Twitter?

Charlie Sheen is considering quitting Twitter, it has been claimed.

Sources close to the actor say he has had enough of the social networking site and doesn’t see any benefits in sharing his thoughts in 140 character updates.

The former Two and a Half Men star joined Twitter on 1 March 2011 and attracted over one million followers in just 48 hours.

“Sources close to the former warlock say @charliesheen will close up shop within days, or possibly mere hours ... because Charlie feels like he's not getting anything out of the social network. No offense to his 7,707,791 followers, we're sure,” TMZ reports.

If Charlie decides to leave the social networking phenomenon it will surely come as a huge disappointment to his followers, who he has kept entertained with pictures and sometimes controversial and outrageous status updates.

He also sparked globally trending catchphrases including the famous #winning and #tigerblood when he went through a troubled period last year following his sacking from Two and a Half Men.
