THE Cebu City Government will pilot a digital database of its residents to expedite and avoid anomalies in handing out aid when calamities strike.

Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CCDRRMC) chairman Gerardo Carillo told reporters Wednesday, June 22, 2022, that the program will be called "Oplan Lista" and will be the first of its kind in the country.

The database will contain the necessary information of each resident in the different barangays that will help the City Government in addressing different problems like disasters and even the pandemic, he added.

Carillo said the experience from the aftermath of Typhoon Odette (Rai) and the different fire incidents had taught a lesson to the City Government that a concrete database is necessary.

"We have experienced that in Typhoon Odette nga dunay ni claim nga patay, naa sa gawas, ug wala dira. Imbes ang atong tagaan unta ang structure owner, ni claim ang inahan, amahan, ug anak," said Carillo.
