Class '99, '02, '15 quash respective foes in USC Alumni league

THE Team 99ers took down the Sipat ’98, 80-76, to take a 1-0 series lead in the finals of Division 1 in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Club (NABC) Cebu City Mayor’s Cup at the USC North Campus gym on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Fritz Villamor was the biggest reason for Batch 1999’s win as he tallied a huge double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, in the Seniors division, the 1985 Legends moved closer to capturing the title after they routed the 1988 Barako, 69-54. Former pro Lou Regidor shone in the series-opener as he filled up the stat-sheets and finished with a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Over in Division 2, the 2002 Goats are just a win away from emerging as champions after they won over the 2001-Shipmen, 70-59. Joel Dinawanao helped the Goats get the win as he nearly had a double-double of 10 points and eight rebounds.

And finally, the 2015 Samurai stand a win away from being crowned Division 3 champs after they crushed the 2013 District, 84-59. Dejoe Taytayan masterfully led Batch 2015 to the win with his 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
