The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) has denied reports that President Rodrigo Duterte fired Chairperson Rhodora Bucoy.
The PCW clarified Bucoy tendered her resignation on July 7, which is yet to be transmitted to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“As of this writing, we have yet to receive any appointment papers of a new Chairperson from the Office of the President,” the post reads.
The Commission also reiterated they did not release any media advisory on the said replacement as well as the resignation of three other commissioners. AAC
