Davao City (PNA) - Two of the biggest international organizations have continuously extended assistance to the typhoon "Pablo"-hit towns of Compostela Valley.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has committed to build 300 houses for the "Pablo" victims in hard-hit municipalities of the province, in support to Gov. Arturo "Chiongkee" Uy's Shelter Assistance Program.
IOM provincial coordinator Rizalino delos Santos said the construction of 110 shelters has been finished. Forty-two of these shelters are located in New Bataan, 46 units in Compostela, while the remaining 22 units are in Montevista. These housing units are single detached with galvanized iron roofing.
