Construction worker nabbed in Aloguinsan for rape

A CONSTRUCTION worker was arrested for qualified rape and acts of lasciviousness in Barangay Punay, Aloguinsan, southern Cebu on Sunday afternoon, May 29, 2022.

Lieutenant Roberto Barnido Jr., chief of Alonguisan Police Station, identified the suspect as Arnel Badayos Paradero, 31, a resident of Barangay Punay, Aloguinsan.

Barnido told SunStar Cebu that the suspect is the number one most wanted person in Aloguinsan.

Paradero has an arrest warrant for qualified rape and acts of lasciviousness issued by Judge Judilyn Hugo Tapia of Family Court Branch 8, Toledo City.

The arrest was made around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29, by operatives of the Aloguinsan police, together with personnel of the 1st Provincial Maneuver Force Company.

"The police will arrest those who are hiding from the law and will be brought to justice to face the consequences of his crime," Barnido said.

Paradero was placed in the custody of Aloguinsan police and he will be turned over to the issuing court. (GDC)
