Rookie big man Justin Arana was clutch in crunchtime, scoring Converge’s last four points to push them past the Blackwater Bossing, 92-90,in the PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Down two, 88-90, after Blackwater guard JVee Casio scored an and-one, Arana scored a layup to tie the game up at 90-all with 34 seconds to go. Then after Casio missed a jumper, Arana made a short stab with 10 seconds remaining to shove Converge in front.

Blackwater big man Kevin Ebona then missed the potential game-tying basket to hand Converge the victory that gave them a 5-6 card.

It was another superb effort from Arana who finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Maverick Ahanmisi led the way for the FiberXers with 18 points, seven assists, and four boards.
