Coronavirus patients, medical staff dance at Wuhan hospital to stay positive

Coronavirus patients and medical staff in Wuhan have entertained themselves by dancing at makeshift hospital to fight against the virus.

"We hope to make the atmosphere more active by taking patients to do some breathing exercises and dancing occasionally," said Chen Xiaoyan, the chief nurse of Zhongnan hospital of Wuhan University, who is worried that patients may feel nervous after being admitted to the hospital.

Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province, has been converting buildings into hospitals to deal with the high number of patients that have contracted the coronavirus.

The latest death toll on Tuesday (February 11) from the new coronavirus outbreak in China stood at 1,016 with 42,638 cases being confirmed to date.
