You can always rely on Costa Coffee to have brilliant new menu releases. First it was the Terry's Chocolate orange muffin, then it was the Ruby Cocoa pink hot chocolate. And now? It's a Rolo chocolate muffin, which is practically the only thing getting us through this week.
Off the back of their January menu (which featured everything from three new coconut plant-based milk drinks to vegan cheeze toasties), the chain have announced new additions just in time for spring.
Please welcome to the stage, the new Costa Coffee Chocolate & Caramel muffin made with Rolo, which they say is a "decadent chocolate muffin is filled with an indulgent caramel sauce, topped with sticky caramel icing and finished with three mini Rolos for the ultimate sweet treat.
"Almost too good to share, it is set to be one of the most sought-after items on the menu this season."
Elsewhere, Costa have also introduced a new Salted Caramel Brownie, "with the delicious combination of dark chocolate, salted caramel and milk chocolate chunks", and a limited-edition Belgian Bun - "a soft, chewy dough bun containing a lemon filling and juicy sultanas and is perfectly finished with white icing and topped with a cherry."
Costa Coffee also expands its alternative milk offering this March, with the introduction of Alpro Oat, as well as its hot drinks menu which now features a Flat White, Oat Flat White, Coconut Flat White and the returning Flat Black, a more intense black coffee.
This, along with the fact the Ruby pink hot chocolate is sticking around, is enough to make us plan a trip asap. You?
