As if we need any more evidence that 2019 is going ridiculously fast, Costa Coffee has already moved on from its summer menu, to its autumn menu - TO ITS WINTER MENU. Yep, their end-of-year menu is here, and we can't compute how fast time is going.
Off the back of their autumn menu (more about that later), Christmas has come early with the Costa winter releases, including Gingerbread Latte, Hazelnut Praline Latte and Black Forest Hot Chocolate. The Black Forest Hot Chocolate promises to be an indulgent, creamy chocolate drink with sweet, tart cherry sauce on top. That sounds divine.
The Hazelnut Praline drinks feature a layer of chocolate blended with rich hazelnut syrup, topped with cream and sprinkled with a chocolate toffee crumb.
The full Limited-Edition Christmas menu will be available in stores nationwide from Friday 1st November 2019, with more exciting additions and new flavours to be announced ahead of the festive season.
If you can't wait that long, the Autumn menu has been in stores since the beginning of September, serving up new sweet treats and a favourite from last year's menu.
For drinks, the Bonfire Spice Latte is making a return. The 2018 bestseller has a spicy punch, plus a rich caramel toffee flavour, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and ginger, making it ideal for those with a sweet tooth.
The Bonfire Spiced Hot Chocolate and Bonfire Spiced Cold Brew variants are also making a comeback, for those who aren't latte lovers.
Vegan fans will be pleased to know that the entire range can be made dairy-free - just ask to switch to one of the four milk alternatives, including coconut and almond.
Food wise, we're BEYOND excited about the new Lotus Biscoff Muffin, which sounds like a 3pm dream. The brand behind the little biscuits and spread has teamed up with Costa to create a spiced muffin which contains a surprise centre of Lotus Biscoff spread and is topped with smooth toffee icing and an actual Lotus Biscoff biscuit.
There's also a new Vegan Chocolate, Caramel & Hazelnut Cookie that apparently comes with a mouth-wateringly gooey texture, and a new Chocolate & Caramel Bun.
Last of the sweet treats is the Seriously Chocolate Cake, made of rich chocolate sponge topped with salted caramel and chocolate fudge icing with a sprinkling of chocolate curls.
The chain is also expanding their lunchtime deal to be from 11am until close which includes a andwich, panini or soup, with a snack and a drink, for £4.95. .
Now, while we hate to see the back of summer, is anyone else craving cosy nights in with a hot chocolate...?
Costa Coffee’s new Autumn menu is in stores from Thursday 5 September and can be viewed online here.
