A MEMBER of the Cebu City Council's opposition bloc vowed to be still critical about programs and projects that will be pushed by administration-allied councilors.

Councilor Nestor Archival, the current minority floor leader, told reporters Tuesday, June 21, 2022, that the public can still expect check and balance in the city's governance despite the opposition bloc winning only four out of 16 seats in the council.

"Being part of the minority, ang amoa gyud gi tan-aw is kinahanhlan ta mo fiscalize. The more we will look into the projects nga angayan gyud tan-awon," said Archival.

The councilor, who ran under Margot Osmeña's Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK), added that despite having fewer numbers, the minority bloc is united and can still give a good voice in the chambers of the council.

The other BOPK councilors who will be joining Archival are Councilors Joy Young, Jose Abellanosa, and Mary Anne delos Santos.
