CORONAVIRUS disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in Cebu City climbed to 2,756 after the City Health Department (CHD) reported 138 new cases on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
The CHD also recorded six new laboratory negative cases from Barangays Basak San Nicolas (one), San Nicolas Proper (one), Mambaling (two) and Cebu City Jail (two).
It also recorded one death. The patient was from Barangay Camputhaw.
The 138 new Covid-19 cases came from Barangays Basak Pardo (six), Basak San Nicolas (four), Bonbon (one), Bulacao (six), Buhisan (three), Calamba (one), Camputhaw (nine), Capitol Site (four), Carreta (three), Day-as (one), Duljo (three), Ermita (two), Inayawan (six), Kalunasan (one), Kinasang-an (two), Labangon (two), Lahug (two), Lorega (four), Mabolo (one), Mambaling (three), Pahina Central (three), Pasil (one), Punta (two), Pardo (one), Quiot (one), Sambag 1 (33), Sambag 2 (five), San Roque (one), San Nicolas (one), Sto. Nino (two), Sawang Calero (two), Suba (two), Tejero (three), Tinago (six), Tisa (five), Toong (one), Zapatera (one), two from the Cebu City Jail and two others whose address still have to be verified.
Cebu City has 1,571 laboratory-negative and 32 deaths.
In Talisay City, Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas Jr. announced nine new Covid-19 cases.
These came from Barangays Tanke (two cases), San Roque (two), Tabunok (two), Bulacao (one), Maghaway (one) and Lawaan 1 (one).
Talisay City has 76 Covid-19 cases. (JJL, JGS)
