CPPO: No order yet from Crame for Soriano's replacement

·1 min read

THE Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) has not received an order yet from their head office in Camp Crame on who will fill the position vacated by provincial police director Colonel Engelbert Soriano, according to Lieutenant Colonel Mark Gifter Sucalit, deputy provincial director for operation of CPPO.

Soriano was relieved from his post “for career advancement” effective June 12, 2022.

PNP spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo said earlier that Colonel Elmer Lim, head of Logistics Division of the Police Regional Office 7, was designated as the officer-in-charge of the CPPO.

Sucalit, however, said they still haven't received an order from Camp Crame confirming Lim as the new CPPO chief.

Despite this, Sucalit said they will continue with their jobs especially in enforcing health safety protocols to combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease. (AYB, TPT)
