Crews Clear Downed Trees in Arkansas as More Storms Forecast

Cleanup was underway in the city of Conway, Arkansas, on May 3, after a round of storms swept across the state.

Footage released by the local government shows crews clearing downed trees.

According to police, there were several reports of trees and power lines down, after severe weather caused thousands of power outages.

The weather service had warned of large hail, damaging winds and a possible tornado, days after damaging tornado-warned storms.

Forecasters said the northwest part of the state was under a “slight risk of excessive rainfall” for May 4. By May 5, most of Arkansas would be under “enhanced risk of for severe thunderstorms” and more heavy rainfall, according to the weather service. Credit: City of Conway via Storyful
